New versions of Dacia Duster showcased at Frankfurt Motor Show
The Romanian automaker Dacia revealed two versions of its low cost SUV Dacia Duster at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The first model was brought straight from Pikes Peak where it performed exceptionally well. The other model of Dacia Duster was called Feuerwehr and was designed to be used by fire brigades.
The Pikes Peak model of Dacia Duster was flown directly from Pikes Peak International Hill Climb where the vehicle ran on an altitude of over 4,000 meters. The main attraction of the Pikes Peak model was that it ran on 800 horsepower engine that was designed to run on difficult terrains. However, since the Pikes Peak model was a competition model, only limited details of the model was provided by the company.
Another model that caught the attention of the crowd at the Frankfurt Motor Show was the fire fighters model of Dacia Duster. The model had special gear and interventions and the price of the new model was about 5,000 euros more than the regular model of Dacia Duster. Some features that you could find in the Feuerwehr version of Dacia Duster includes extra LED, GPS system, special light on roof and radio phone. The truck of the vehicle had special gears that can we used by fire fighters. The exterior of the vehicle was personalized with a bright red and had several emergency numbers on the exterior of the vehicle
The date of launch of the Feuerwehr version of Dacia Duster is not yet known. Also, the company did not give details of the expected date of launch of the much awaited second generation Dacia Duster.
